PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY

The pharmaceutical industry is the field which includes the research, production and marketing of pharmaceutical drugs for human and animal use. It is one of the world’s most profitable and important industries. This fields divides into the production of primary chemical pharmaceutical drugs and the development of medical use products with known methods such as secondary production. Amongst the secondary production processes there is the production of drugs in fixed dosages such as pills or capsules, drugs for oral use, injection solutions, ovules and suppositories. Other solutions for oral use are candies, for inhaling such as the aerolos, intranasally such as drops, oral or for the eyes, some are creams, oinments and lotions for skin usage. Some companies produce anesthetics, other use contrast to visualize the body structure via X rays or nuclear magnetic resonance imaging.
